What to blog about?

I have NO idea what to blog about for this week. I could try and think about what to blog about I guess. Maybe something about my spring break. I stayed in Indiana, fought with my mom, got sick and went to Depauw. However if I blogged about that I'd bore all of you to death. So I guess I'm going the sarcastic jack assery route and lie about it. I went to Japan, fought some ninjas and almost died. However Jonathan Swindle does not go down that easily I got off my dying ass, headed towards the leader of those Japanese ninja scum and kicked his ass. I was pronounced the hero of Japan. There is my spring break if it happened my way. And this is my blog.

Bleach Episode Review

Black kimonos on and zanpakutos (a type of katana) ready the guards of the soul society are searching frantically for the Ryoka, which is the Japanese word for intruder or outsider. This is the current situation of those who live in the Soul Society, one’s that call themselves Soul Reapers. All hell is breaking loose in the Soul Society while an orange haired soul reaper who calls himself Ichigo fights a sinister bald haired Soul Reaper. Ichigo fights his opponent to clear his path to rescue the one he knows as Rukia Kuchiki.

This all may seem confusing to any who have not seen the anime called Bleach. Bleach is a Japanese Anime that creatively explains life after death; not only that, it shows how the realm of the living and the other side play off each other and those who keep the balance between the two. Soul Reapers are similar to what we think of as the grim reaper, just there are multiple Soul Reapers. Soul Reapers are those who help spirits pass on to the other side, also known as the Soul Society. That is who Rukia was; she was a Soul Reaper who was in the realm of the living helping souls pass on. Everything was going fine till she met Ichigo, who had enough spirit energy to see her. All was going according to plan until a hallow attacked her and in a desperate attempt to save her life as well as Ichigo’s she passed on her powers to Ichigo. However months later the Soul Society found out the act Rukia performed and took her back to the Soul Society as a capitol offender.

Bright red blood pouring from his right arm, Ichigo is desperately fighting his opponent to keep moving to find Rukia. This was due to the fact Ichigo did not realize the power his opponent had, nor did he realize that his Zanpakuto could transform into 3 pieces linked together. When Ichigo let his guard down his opponent’s Zanpakuto wrapped around his body and slashed Ichigo’s arm. However this will not stop Ichigo, he is a being of high determination and power.

Finally after outwitting his bald opponent and showing his true power, Ichigo wins the duel. His opponent finally waking up wonders why he’s still alive. “I just need some answers from you,” Ichigo coldly says. “Oh I should’ve known, I am unlucky…so what is it you want to know from me?” His opponent asks. “I want Rukia Kuchiki, where is she?” Ichigo asks. Surprisingly he gets an answer, with some side information. “Just a minute, can I ask you a question? Who is the strongest out of your group?”” his opponent asks. “I guess that would be me.” Ichigo humbly states. “If so, I suggest you keep an eye out for my captain Ichigo, the captain has no interest in fighting against weak opponents, if it’s true you are the strongest, then it is you he will come after.” Ichigo’s opponent grimly says. The episode ends with the captain searching for Ichigo.

Overall I found this episode to be excellent. From the struggle from the fight Ichigo realizes what more is to

come. I highly recommend those who have an interest of shows that have episodes that continue where the last

one left off or an interest for Japanese to watch Bleach. Not only does the show Bleach have incredible fighting

scenes, but excellently uses foreshadowing, dialogue, artistic talent and creativity.
